So… my hands have been getting rather dry lately… the skin has been peeling & rolling up, cracking around my cuticles & finger tips… just getting those regular old man hands as I like to call’em. hehe. Usually when this sort of thing starts happening to my body I think, “there’s gotta be some kinda DIY or home remedy I can try to solve this!”
Guess what?? There is! Jill, from The Prairie Homestead, gives the following recipe for a DIY Gardener’s Hand Butter:
I’ll tell you what, this stuff sounds great! As we speak, I’m trying to get these ingredients locally & I’ll let you kow how this butter junk works after I try it!!
P.S. Coconut Oil is always little Ms. Faithful when you need a handy dandy moisturizer… Until Tomorrow…
Hey guys sorry I missed y’all on Friday! I hope y’all had a great weekend 🙂 Mine flew by ….per usual! I did enjoy sewing my very first project though…
It’s an apron 🙂 I feel like I might be a natural lol. I really enjoyed learning how to sew, and to tell you the truth I have my next 8-15 projects lined out already haha… it might be a bit ambitious but I’m off to an encouraging start!
So… since I missed out on giving y’all a few Holiday decorating tips on Friday I’m going to show you a few links that I thought were pretty great. The first is 26 Party Hacks for the Holidays, some of my favorites are #’s 13, 19, & 24! Who knew you needed to bake the bugs out of pine cones before you decorated them??
This site gives 20 Fall Décor Ideas for the Home using a neutral color palette. I love me some neutrals so I can definitely see myself implementing a few of these ideas… I love the white pumpkins and acorns on the mantel, coffee mugs, fireplaces lit, and lots of warm cozy blankets!! Oh my goodness I wish I had a fireplace to toast my footsies!
Oh and I know I mentioned a smell good on #13 of the Party Hacks, but I found this on Pinterest and I want to try it too!!

Brrrr…… Good Morning Y’all! There is a tiny ity bity slightly chilly feel in the air today, and I’m Loving It! Even the slightest hint of cooler weather makes me want to put on my big camo shirt, dark green scarf, tight jeans, chacos, & a knitted beanie… curl up with a big ol’ cup of joe and enjoy a relaxing fire with good company! Mmmmm…. Yummy sounds so good!
Until then I’ll be wrapping my exposed pipes up so I don’t have to worry about them when I am chillin’ by the fire… hehe. Basically, you only need a few things to get this job done. Continue reading
Sorry about the late post guys, these weather changes keep hitting me hard. Seems like cool fronts & wonderful rain bring so much cozy joy, but also these uncomfortably dizzying headaches.
We’ve gone full force with prepping, planning, and cleaning for this weekend’s wedding events. Does anyone else have a hard time cleaning with a headache? Do you feel my pain?? So I sat down this evening with my little home brew: 1 Tablespoon of Honey in a cup of piping hot water.
Not too long after… I actually started to feel better. The pressure slowly began to release from my head, and continued to the point at which my headache went away completely! I’m so thankful for the little ways that God provides for us.
I’m currently loving my little home remedy… See you tomorrow friends!
I’ve been hearing a lot about honey this week. Many people are raving about it’s ability to relieve allergies, soothe sore throats, boost energy, & much more. Here are a few recipes to try out Honey at home:
Hey guys! How about a little Food-inspo today? I love me some good home cookin’, cuz that means I get to eat good FOOD! haha. Sometimes there are soooo many eggs that I feel a little overwhelmed like…. What am I going to do with all these dang eggs?? Continue reading

Good Morning Guys! Can you believe it’s still raining?? I was thanking God for the continual rain this morning and it got me thinking…How can we take all of this glorious rain and turn it into something even better?
We have had such an abundance of rain lately, but that’s not always the case. So why not collect some of the rainwater while we can? Here at Myra’s we don’t have a rainwater collection system in place, so I found a couple DIY Rainwater Collection sources to gain some knowledge on the subject. Continue reading
