What’s New Wednesday: Citrus & Fruit

You may be asking, what is the #eatmyyard journey? It’s an adventure! Whether it’s an adventure to the body, planting new things. An adventure to the spirit, finding peace and serenity in the quietness of our backyards. An adventure to the taste buds, eating deliciously new things or savoring in the things of old. An adventure to the soul, realizing that we can accomplish new things while bringing our bodies and our health to new heights!

On today’s journey we are talking Citrus & Fruit trees. A should-be staple in our everyday diets. These guys can offer satisfaction to your sweet tooth, bursts of goodness to your foods, and comfort to your hungry-grab on the go tummy.

Happy New Year.

It’s so good to be back. I love that I can say that honestly and whole-heartedly. I really do love my work. It’s amazingly astonishing that those words are coming out of my brain through the tips of my fingers haha. But seriously, I just want to stop right Here and give Thanks, all the Glory, Honor, and Credit to God for guiding me to exactly where I am today. And I’m thankful that He never tires to remind me that He’s got it under control!

I also want to say that I love you guys (seems like I’m full of love, joy, and all things peacefully nice this morning)>>you guys better eat it up now. hehe. You guys also make my work worth while and I want to Thank You for it.

How was your Holidays? Did you celebrate the birth of Jesus and Ring in the New Year?? We did. It’s been a blast. Took a 9 day Holiday and now we are ready for 2015! I’m also beginning to be Thankful for Mondays. That should be a Hashtag. #thankfulformondays yes. I like the sound of that. It’s like the perfect opportunity to start every week out right.

Ok now that I’ve set the precedence I want to tell you about the “Candlelight” Christmas Eve Service held annually here at Myra’s Garden 🙂 I think this is the 7th possibly 8th year or longer that we’ve hosted the service that is presented and put together by members of the Vineyard Church of Bay City (now merging with Real Life Church to be called Ignite). Which is another totally exciting piece of information in itself!

This Christmas Eve production contains singing, worship, storytelling, instrumental entertainment, readings from the Bible, candlelight caroling, and best of all the reason for the season… Jesus!

The short production is followed by hot chocolate, snacks, treats, laughter, fun, and great fellowship with local friends and families! It’s a lovely time all around 🙂

I hope you’ll join us, bring your friends, family, your well behaved neighborhood kids, heck even strangers are welcome 😉 lol at 6 o’clock on Christmas Eve… That’s December 24th at 6PM for all you scrooges out there! hehehehe…. just kidding…

Fresh Milk from Healthyway Dairy

Just wanted to share a fun bit of information with you guys! Margarey Diaz shared some of her knowledge and super great tasting milk with us over the weekend. The raw milk she shared comes from Healthyway Dairy Farm in Santa Fe, Tx. Healthyway Dairy is a certified grade A raw milk dairy. They sell raw milk, along with eggs and raw milk products. When we visited on Saturday they also had Whipped Honey for sale! It came in Cinnamon and Original… I’ve never had this Whipped Honey they speak of, but it sounds delish 😉

You can find Healthway Dairy on Facebook, I just liked their page today! There’s some pretty cool information on their page… availabilities, updates on products they are out and when they will have them restocked. They are open Monday through Saturday from 7AM to 9PM, checking their Facebook page before you go over can be a great idea. They seem to post updates on a regular basis… like, in the past they’ve had chocolate milk, buttermilk, sour cream, yogurt, and kefir! Hope y’all enjoyed our little experience, I know I sure did! Until Tomorrow…
