Tip Tuesday

We’re planning another wedding!! Except this one is going to be much much smaller.. still yet there are bridal tips and wedding tools that can be handy to any couple planning their journey to commitment. Today I wanted to share a few tips and sources that have been helpful to us so far..

1. this site: http://www.weddingclub.com.au/inspiration/pre-wedding/engagement-pre-wedding/10-biggest-things-brides-forget has so great tips for the brides; “things to remember” <<which I feel like just about anyone can appreciate a good “don’t forget this” list.

2. this girl has some great insight: http://kellyboitano.com/15-wedding-tips-from-a-photographer-turned-bride/ it’s awesome what one can know from just being a part of sooo many weddings. Her photographer stand point brings out a lot of great ideas, like.. the “first look” photos.. I don’t know if I would do this personally.. but it sounds like a pretty cool way to make darn sure you capture the emotion of the day.

3. annnd there’s also page: https://www.pinterest.com/calliegallagher/tips-for-the-bride/ which is actually a board on Pinterest (which I lovvvvve). It’s a board full of Tips for Brides.. so basically someone has already spent hours upon hours scouring Pinterest for the most deemed worthy helpful hints and tricks 😉 hope you enjoy!

What have you found helpful in planning? Have you found any super great wedding hacks that you’d love to share? Comment and Share Below 🙂 Until Tomorrow..

During a Time Full of Life…

Hey you guys, good evening! I’ve missed y’all so stinkin much! Last week was cah-raze-eeeee!! We started out the week by spreading 2 loads of gravel to resurface the driveway. Then we rolled it and made it all nice & pretty & packed after the rain. When the rain let up we hung party lights, lantern lights, Christmas lights, chandelier lights… you name it we lit it up! Gotta have plenty of light shining for a beautiful par-tay! hehe.

The inside of the barn (reception hall) was looking a little drab, so we had Sarah Zernicek (from Monarch Events) come over and put her special touch on a few things. She transformed the reception & ceremony areas by gracefully hanging decorations and lighting to create the ambiance we were searching for. The Monarch Events team helped us with so many intricate details we would’ve been lost without them! Same would be said without all the Family & Friends who lended a hand, we are forever grateful for your kindhearted eagerness to help! Continue reading

It was a day to admire…

As the sun rose softly over the clouds, we basked in the presence of a very beautiful bride. Her golden skin was glowing from within, and we gathered around as her soft brown flowing hair was to be pinned. Continue reading

We’ve gotten A Lot more done today!! Draping tool in the barn where the reception will be held, painted signs for the ceremony & parking, hung some of the lighting, continued the ongoing work on our new parking lot, spread gravel, resurfaced the driveway…. The list goes on and on and on and on and on!

Beauty in My Backyard

So this nature that I found isn’t really in an uncommon place…fact of the matter is, the beauty of the Texas countryside is all around us. My “Backyard” is full of fields, cows, trees, and streams, all of which are something that we’ve come very accustomed to. The nature of the scene I’m about to describe to you is something a little different…something that can only be seen when we stop and pay attention to the little things.

The other night someone very special to me was describing the church he wanted to get married in: a really pretty, small church, sitting next to an open field with a beautiful view…All the while what he didn’t know was that I was picturing that place, and I had been there before.

Yesterday evening I took him to the place that he had described…
